Students have many opportunities to establish and develop their individual talents, express themselves and create unforgettable school life experiences by embracing their creative passions.
Music School
Finding your forte is easy within the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Music School, a haven for aspiring musicians and singers. The innovative Year 7 program offers students a choice of instrument so they can discover their own individual rhythm early on, and learn how to be part of an orchestral experience.
With an enviable reputation for nurturing passionate and accomplished musicians and singers, the Music School also provides private lessons and a chance for students to further express and refine their musical skills in a variety of bands, ensembles and choirs.
Performing Arts
Whether it is performing on stage or designing sets and costumes, ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ students are involved in all aspects of our vibrant musical and drama productions. One of the most anticipated events on the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ school calendar, the Creative Arts Spectacular brings together music, dance, drama and comedy acts on the stage against a backdrop of photography, paintings, fashion and other creative work. Students are the performers, musicians, choreographers, script writers, costume designers, make-up artists and back stage crew for this spectacular production.
Each year ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ students have the chance to get involved in the Musical production together with Mazenod College students. The Avila Mazenod musical collaborations have seen some of Broadway’s best musicals come to life and paved the way for many of our students to work professionally in the entertainment industry as performers, musicians, script writers and technicians.
Visual Arts
From photography to ceramics, painting to sculpture, our visual arts department offers an extensive array of artistic options to develop technical skills, digital expertise and inspire creative practice. The annual Art, Design and Technology exhibition showcases student work together with a runway parade of garments and design.
Design Technology
A flair for fashion and design can be nurtured in the studio where students work with different textiles and materials, learn to adapt and create their own patterns and explore sustainable design.
